Can it be used alongside other aids?
Absolutely. StairSteady complements existing mobility aids such as walking sticks, frames, or a secondary wall handrail. It adds targeted support on the stairs without altering natural gait patterns, making it suitable for progressive rehabilitation programmes.
Is training required for installers?
Yes. Installation is simple for a suitably qualified carpenter or builder, who must complete a half-day accreditation covering measurement, fixing into masonry or timber, and client hand-over. Certification is refreshed every two years to ensure best-practice fitting and instruction.
Does it meet funding criteria?
StairSteady is classified as Level 2 Assistive Technology under NDIS Category 05 (registration pending) and is frequently approved under Home Care Packages (Levels 1-4). We provide template justification letters and itemised quotes to streamline applications.
What documentation do you provide?
You’ll receive load-test certificates, a full technical data sheet, installation checklist, maintenance schedule, user guide, and a CPD-accredited clinical justification template ready for funding submissions.
